Crisis Response & Protection
Immediate safety, protection-sensitive support, and the beginning of trust — for refugees and displaced families under immediate pressure.
EMERGE supports refugees, displaced families, and communities affected by conflict and acute crisis with urgent assistance, protection-sensitive contact, psychosocial first response, and referral to longer-term support where available.
In crisis, families can lose safety, income, housing, services, documents, community protection, and trusted support within days. Children, women and girls, persons with disabilities, older people, refugees, and displaced families may face heightened risks of exploitation, violence, family separation, harmful coping, and distress. Emergency aid matters most when it protects dignity, reduces risk, and connects people to the next safe step.
Refugees, displaced families, women and girls facing heightened risk, survivors of gender-based violence, children, orphaned and separated children, people with disabilities, older people, and host communities affected by emergencies.
